Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest

Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are Just, whatsoever things are pure Philippians 4:8 Scripture

In this blog post, I want to share with you some insights from one of my favorite verses in the Bible: Philippians 4:8. This verse tells us to think about things that are true, honest, just, and pure. Why is this important? Because our thoughts affect our actions, our emotions, and our relationships. If we fill our minds with positive and godly thoughts, we will experience more peace, joy, and love in our lives.

But how do we do this? How do we think about things that are true, honest, just, and pure? Here are some practical tips:

– Read and meditate on God’s word. The Bible is the ultimate source of truth, honesty, justice, and purity. It reveals God’s character, his promises, his commands, and his love for us. By reading and meditating on God’s word, we can align our thoughts with his thoughts and renew our minds.

– Pray and ask God for guidance. God knows our hearts and our struggles. He wants to help us overcome negative and sinful thoughts. He also wants to give us wisdom and discernment to know what is true and what is false. By praying and asking God for guidance, we can invite him to speak to us and direct our thoughts.

– Surround ourselves with godly influences. The people we spend time with, the books we read, the music we listen to, the shows we watch, all have an impact on our thoughts. If we surround ourselves with godly influences, we can be inspired and encouraged to think about things that are true, honest, just, and pure. If we surround ourselves with worldly influences, we can be tempted and distracted by things that are false, dishonest, unjust, and impure.

– Practice gratitude and praise. One of the best ways to think about things that are true, honest, just, and pure is to thank God for them and praise him for who he is. When we practice gratitude and praise, we focus on the goodness of God and his blessings in our lives. We also acknowledge his sovereignty and his faithfulness in all situations.

Philippians 4:8 is a powerful verse that can transform our lives if we apply it. Let us challenge ourselves to think about things that are true, honest, just, and pure every day. As we do so, we will experience more of God’s presence and peace in our hearts.
